　　A Food Poisoning Accident

　　Last month, I witnessed a food poisoning accident happening to my classmates. At that time the situation was really very dangerous and urgent. Though finally they got out of danger, this accident is still vivid in my mind.

　　It was one of my classmates Julie’s birthday that day. In order to celebrate it, her roommates bought a big birthday cake for her from a supermarket nearby. They shared the cake happily. However, after a while, all of them felt abdominal pain, nausea and dizziness. Two of them even cannot stand up because of great pain. We rushed to send them to the hospital. It turned out that the cake they ate had expired its guarantee period. Fortunately, due to timely treatment, they all recovered very soon.

　　However, this accident leaves me pondering. I think it is very urgent to take effective measures to improve food safety. Firstly, the government should strengthen supervision and administration on food safety. More importantly, to those immoral businessmen, more strict punishment should be given.

　　[4]Besides, we consumers should be more careful in buying in this way can we make sure that no such accident happens again.

　　A Picnic

　　What a beautiful day! The warm sun was hanging up in the blue sky. The breeze was blowing gently over the sea. There were several sea gulls whirling over the waves. it's a good day for a picnic,?we thought happily as we stood on the deck of the ferry boat on our way to Green Island, admiring the picturesque view.

　　After an hour's sailing, we reached our destination. We saw a range of shops and houses with one or two stories by the sea shore. They were not newly built. We also saw quite a number of dead fish which were going to be dried in the sun distributed on the ground.

　　We went down to Sai Wan beach. There were many fishermen's huts and little houses built on disused sampans. We also saw many dried lobsters and fishes lying about the sea shore and there was a bad odour from them.

　　We crossed the beach and went up the slopes. At last, we reached the famous cave which was the hiding place of a notorious pirate in the 19th century. Carrying a torch, each of us was very excited. We carefully slipped into the dark cave one by one. It was very narrow and we found it difficult to walk through. We could not see anything but the cave. However, we ventured inside the cave. The opening was so small that we could hardly get through.

　　Everyone was tired and hungry, so we went to eat all the food we brought with us. The food seemed to be more tasteful than usual. After that, some of my classmates went to fish by the cave and others went to travel round the island in a boat.

　　We enjoyed our games in the garden very much until it was five o'clock in the afternoon. The sun would set very soon, so we gathered together and returned to the pier. We then stepped on board the ferry boat and said good-bye to Green Island．

　　Thus we are given to understand that if we desire to win respect from others,initially we are supposed to be trustworthy .Hence the saying,do as you would be done when we treat others openly and warmheartedly will we be treated in a way we are always longing from another perspective,constantly we are too ready to believe the coming of information age, more and more high-tech products have come into our easier access with some undesirable things accompanying a consequence,cheats and frauds are really prevailing currently .Confronted with such a serious situation,it is high time that we improved self-protecting awareness and think more considerably before we choose to believe sum up,we can’t be too cautious in the ever complex society .

　　The moral of the story is too complicated a topic to be comprehensively covered in the limited space of my article .anyway, different people can benefit tremendously from it in various terms .

　　My first stay at home alone was memorable. When I was twelve, once both of my mother and father were away on business, and I had been all by myself for two days. My parents left early the first day, and I got up soon after they left. In the first evening I was a little scared, so I turned on all the lights. 　　With great expectation and curiosity, I came to the USTB Looking at the place I will stay at for 4 years, I felt as if I’ve already been involved in it.

　　It is the dorm that firstly surprised me. Compared with the room for eight, new room gave me more free space. The comfortable bed and the combinational shelf promised me a pleasant living surroundings. What’s the most, the public bath just located across from my room.

　　As for the dining hall, I couldn’t require it better. Although it’s not magnificent, its diversities of food and cheap dish price can make up. However, I hope one day it could be like the dining hall of Harford, another library, where everyone read and studied as well.

　　To be honest, there are many changed things, of which I felt the most different is the time schedule. There’s no one telling you what to do or when to do in college. You need to your time’s master. Balanced time schedule can not only help make you relaxed, but can also improved the quality of your life.

　　Those are what I felt and saw in my first week in USTB. To pave the way to my brilliant future, I’ll go straight hopefully and bravely.
